PostSubject: Mr. Kennedy Talks About His Injury, Sid To WWE?   Tue Aug 12, 2008 4:47 pm

-- Four-time World Heavyweight Champion Sid Vicious is telling friends that he will be returning to World Wrestling Entertainment in September, reports SLAM! Wrestling.

-- WWE.com has confirmed the online reports regarding Mr. Kennedy's dislocated shoulder, which he suffered at last Monday's SmackDown brand house show: "Mr. Kennedy has been diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder, but will not be undergoing immediate surgery. Instead, Kennedy will undergo two weeks of physical therapy to determine whether the surgery will be necessary."

-- Speaking of Kennedy's injury, he posted a blog on his official website (Ken-Kennedy.com) regarding his recent shoulder injury, which he says is a "torn labrum". Last week, Kennedy underwent four different MRI's and met orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, Florida on Thursday. Kennedy wrote, "I'm going to spend the next two weeks in Pensacola doing two-a-day rehab sessions. I will also be working out the other parts of my body that aren't hurt by swimming, sprinting, cycling, leg training, and eating 6 nutritious high protein meals a day. After two weeks, Doc Andrews will assess my progress and determine if I have to have surgery or not."

If it is determined that he doesn't need surgery, he should be cleared to wrestle in an additional two to four weeks. However, if it is determined that Kennedy needs surgery, he will be out for four to six months.

"Obviously, I'm hoping for the first option," Kennedy wrote. "Regardless of the severity of my injury, I will be working as hard as I can to return to the ring and continue to do what I love. I have the unbelievable support of my wonderful wife, family, extended family within the WWE, and my loyal fan base. I ask for your continued support! As this situation unravels I will keep you updated!"
