ECW Championship: World Title Or Not?

I truly consider the ECW title a world title... Its the championship of ECW.. Hell even WWE acknowledges this... It may not be as prestigious as the WHC or the WWE but by god its in the same league... I dont like the comparisons for the ECW belt to be similar to the IC and US belt. I mean the ECW title is the Champion of the show itself... The top champ on that show... i mean when Kane was drafted to Raw... He was the top champ on the show and below him was IC Champion Chris Jericho. Hell There Was Even A Freakin MATCH OF CHAMPIONS!!!

Lets run down every ECW Champion in the WWE Era..

Rob Van Dam - A Cornerstone in ECW... He had never held the ECW Championship during his tenure in the Original ECW... As he held the belt, it was fresh and it was very well deserved... He also held the WWE Championship at the same time...

Big Show - Hated Amongst The Old ECW Fans.... Yet every week he went out and defended his title against the likes of Ric Flair, Undertaker, Kane, and Batista. All of which are former world champions in his own right. Big Show made the ECW title a true world championship...

Bobby Lashley - Some consider it a step down. But noyone can take away his charisma with the fans... SURE.. he was horrid on the mic, but he let his actions do the talking... He may have been over... but to some maybe not THAT over.... Hell he headlined Wrestlemania!!!!

Mr. McMahon - Uh.... Well....He is the chairman of the board... and is the true WWE Champion (if you catch my drift). I dont consider this bad... but it was interesting to see where this went...

Johnny Nitro/John Morrison - From a weak mid carder to a shaman of sexy, John Morrison truly shone above the rest. He was unique, brash, and had enough talent to back it up. He looked like gold and he wrestled like gold... He could hang with some of the WWE Elite

CM Punk - Its one of those, "Bah Gawd, PUNK DID IT" moments... Him as ECW Champion was very good because he was mad over and he was established enough to hang with the big dogs... Even though he opened up 2 PPV's as ECW Champion

Chavo Guerrero - Probably a big step down... He did look golden, but i believe his reign was a complete flop... He was known as only being in the cruiserweight division and now he is a world champion? I enjoyed it, and I love Chavo to death... but maybe it wasnt his time....yet

Kane - He beat Chavo in 8 seconds at Wrestlemania, thus proving us dominance. His second world title reign was in fact memorable as he would defend it on a regular basis against opponents like Chavo, Punk, Big Show, and Mark Henry. His ECW Reign is better than his WWE reign.

Mark Henry - Dominant.... I Cant see a man to take his strap from him. He may not be wrestling saavy, but his presence is truly awe-inspiring... He is starting to grow on me and he is turning to one of the most dominant champions ever...

But some people do not consider it as a world title because:

1. It has not main evented a PPV
2. It has opened up a PPV
3. It hasnt been defended around the world (Yes some idiot said that)
4. ECW is one hour
